Many people on Threads retaliated against Meta after they discovered their Threads posts were being delivered to family and friends on Facebook and Instagram.

Fortunately, the company responded to this backlash by working on a feature to unsuggest your posts on other Meta social networks. Users found code in beta versions of the Threads app showing that users can avoid showing their crazy posts to their grandmothers.
Now, Meta is starting to roll out the ability to block your posts from appearing on Facebook and Instagram. Some Threads users have started reporting seeing the option, but not everyone has it yet. If not, be patient – it should happen soon. Obviously, the company is rolling out this update gradually.

Jorge Caballero realized that he was able to access the scenario. According to Caballero, users need to “update to the latest version of the app (v308.0), which was released last night.”

If you're trying to stop your grandma from seeing your crazy Threads posts on her Facebook feed, the company has made it really easy to disable it. Here's how to do it:
- Tap the Profile tab
- Tap the settings icon
- tap on Privacy
- tap on Suggesting posts in other apps
- Set the toggle button to Off for both Facebook and Instagram
It appears that the feature allows you to disable suggested posts on one or both social networks. This is an interesting question, as I imagine – at least for most people – that the default will be to turn it off on both Facebook and Instagram.
It's impressive that Threads is already starting to roll out this feature to users. The first complaints from platform users only came about a month ago, so the team quickly put together a solution and gave users the agency they should have. Of course, they probably should have had that control to begin with, but I'll take a quick answer!
