Tera Gyarados is a Water-type Pokémon, so its weaknesses are Electric and Ground. These are our best Pokémon and Builds to beat this 6-star Tera Pokémon.

Surprise, surprise, our first pick is Iron Hands. We're seeing this repeatedly as the current goal for solo Raids.

Iron Hands is exclusive to Violet. This Pokémon is the strongest choice for solo Tera Raids, so we recommend 100% that players on the Scarlet version trade with Violet users to obtain Iron Hands.

With insanely high damage output and the ability to recover health, Iron Hands can take on any 5- and 6-star Tera Pokémon.

The Iron Hands are located in Area Zero Research Station 1. Players must first complete Scarlet and Violet's three quests.

These are Path of Legends, Starfall Street and Victory Road, you will have a total of 18 badges collected at this point.

After that, you I must Beat the final boss in Area Zero and watch the credits. This will give you access to the post-game functions of the 5-star and 6-star Tera raids.

In the post-game, players must return to the Area Zero Gate and visit Research Station 1. This Paradox Pokémon is only found in Area Zero and is commonly spawned.

Iron Hands Construction

  • Wild Charge
  • Stomach
  • Drain Perforator
  • thunder punch
  • Held Item – Life Orb

miraidon

Miraidon is the Legendary Pokémon of the Violet version. Players upgrade this Pokémon's abilities by defeating Paldea's Titans, resulting in players being able to fly, climb, swim, run, and high jump.

We see Miraidon in his battle form at the beginning of the game. Miraidon can return to battle form upon completing Violet's base game.

To use Miraidon in battle form, go to the Main Menu and hover over the Miraidon icon and name. Press ONE and then ONE again after being asked if you want to change this Pokémon to battle form.

The Miraidon needs to be traded to another member of your active party to use if your party is full. Now, whenever you enter battle, Miraidon will be a Pokémon available to use.

This Legendary Pokémon has the ability to restore health with Parabolic Charge. Since Miraidon is an Electric/Dragon type, they are the perfect option to face Gyarados in a Tera invasion battle.

Due to its exclusivity on Violet, Scarlet players must trade with a Violet user to obtain a Miraidon of their own.

Alternatively, if you are friends with a Violet player, you can log into the game and find a wild level 72 Miraidon in Area Zero.

You can only get Miraidon in the post-game, inside Area Zero. To find the wild Miraidon, go to the bottom of Area Zero and look for a rising rock formation where Miraidon will be waiting for battle.

Build Miraidon

  • Load beam
  • Parabolic Load
  • Electro Drift
  • metal sound
  • Held Item – Life Orb

big prey

Great Tusk is another Paradox Pokémon, found exclusively within Area Zero. You may have already visited Area Zero, as players must complete the game to access this area and find the Paradox Pokémon.

You I must Watch the game credits to enter Scarlet and Violet's post-game. Great Tusk can be found in Research Area 2 through the Zero Gate portal in the middle of the room.

As one of Scarlet's exclusive Pokémon, Violet players must trade with Scarlet users to obtain this exclusive Paradox Pokémon for themselves.

Whether to complete the Pokédex or to build a strong Pokémon to face Tera Raids. This is our best Ground-Type Pokémon to take on 6-star Gyarados.

Great Tusk has the great move Earthquake, which cannot damage Pokémon AI. Add the charged item Shell Bell so this Pokémon can regain health.

This is crucial for Tera Raids and is why the best option to face most 6-star Pokémon is Iron Hands.

Great Tusk Build

  • Earthquake
  • Hand-to-hand fighting
  • Head throw
  • Megahorn
  • Held Item – Shell Bell

elektross

Players can find Eelektrik in the Southern Paldean Sea through the Southern Province (Area Six). You will need to get the ability to swim with Miraidon/Koraidon.

To unlock this legendary ability, players must beat the Open Sky Titan, Bombbirdier. You can find this Titan on the west side of Paldea.

This Titan can be defeated very early in the game, it is recommended to beat this Titan second in the Path of Legends questline.

Since most players will have already beaten the game and seen the credits as they prepare to fight the 6-Star Tera Gyarados, it's obvious that the swimming ability will already be unlocked.

With the swimming ability, players can locate the Eelektrik very easily and upon catching it, players must evolve the Eelektross using a Thunder Stone.

You can find a Thunder Stone in the areas:

  • At the back of Levincia (overseeing the Eastern Sea)
  • casseroya lake
  • Western Province Area 1 wind turbines

Alternatively, players can catch a Tera Eelektross near the small island in the sea north of Northern Province (Area One).

Players can fast travel to this area via the Area One Watchtower on the northern border of Paldea. See the image below for an exact location of the Tera Eelektross. This Pokémon is a level 65.

This should be an easy catch at this point, as our other Pokémon suggestions are all obtainable post-game. Therefore, players will already have high-level Pokémon to catch Tera Eelektross.

Since this Pokémon has a much higher level upon capture, it may be much more appropriate to use Tera Eelektross as opposed to the lower level Eelektrik that you would have caught in the South Paldean Sea.

The Tera Eelektross will be much more useful in 5 and 6 star Tera Raid battles unless you use Eelektrik/Eelektross during the base game.
